We began running in December 2003 in response to the need for more
exercise. We began running 20 seconds and then walking 2 minutes. It was
HARD! In January we ran in our first race, a 5K, and while we did not
run the whole distance in that first race, we were hooked.
The picture on the left is Bill at the finish line of the Downtown Melbourne 5K in March of 2005. This race featured separate starts for male runners and female runners. An hour later when the women ran the rain came down in a downpour. There weren't many smiles at that race. To see Judith in that race click here. On the right is a picture of Judith in Jacksonville at the Gate River Run in 2005. We both ran this race along with our daughter-in-law Joanie. We had a great time.

In April 2005 we bought a Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom Motorcycle.
It has been a lot of fun! Florida is a great place for motorcycle riding.
The weather allows year round riding and there are many activities to
participate in.
